My Favorite Halloween Treats

This morning on my KOLD segment I showed how to make these cookies for Halloween. For my birthday, my brother redesigned my website! Thanks, Chad! If you click on the news link, video 1 shows a clip of me making a portion of this recipe when we lived in Utah. Click here to check out my new cookbook website.

Black Cat Cookies
(from my book 101 Things To Do With A Cake Mix)
3/4 cup crunchy peanut butter
2 eggs
1/3 cup water
1 chocolate cake mix
plain M&Ms
Red Hots

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Beat together peanut butter, eggs, and water. Gradually add cake mix and blend well. Form dough into 1-inch balls. Place on lightly greased cookie sheet and flatten balls with bottom of a glass dipped in sugar. Pinch out 2 ears at top of cookie. Add M&Ms as eyes and a Red Hot as a nose. Press fork into the sides of the cat face to form whiskers. Bake 8-10 minutes.

Note: You can use candy corn instead of M & Ms for the eyes.

Hi Stephanie! I am so excited to see your blog, it's fabulous! I will definitely be keeping up with it. These Halloween treats look amazing--you are so talented! It looks like good things are going on with all of you.
Jared is leaving in about a week, and he'll be gone for a year. Crazy times.
