Tomorrow morning Jenny Anchondo (morning anchor) and a camera crew are showing up to film a 90 second cooking segment. It will be aired between 5:45-6 a.m. on Wednesday. If your up early in Tucson, you'll have to check it out.
In celebration of back to college week, we'll be doing a recipe from 101 Things To Do With Ramen Noodles by Toni Patrick. I worked as the editor on this book.

Lots to Report
It's been a crazy and fun summer for the Ashcrafts! Right now the kids and I are at Grandma's in Utah enjoying the great weather and the swimming pool! I have been working hard on a new book that is due on the 15th of July. I have 7 more recipes to try in 3 days. 94 done! Yeah! I was able to appear on KSL's Studio 5 program. It was so much fun! Hopefully in August, I'll have some big news to announce. It looks like I may be able to film from my own kitchen in Tucson soon!
I'll separately post about fun events this summer soon. Probably after the 15th!
FYI- I'll be on Salt Lake's KUTV 2 noon news on Wednesday cooking with Bryan at the Roth Concept Center. I'll also be on Good Things Utah on Thursday giving tips on putting together your own family cookbooks.

Devan's Play
On April 29th, Devan performed in the 3rd grade play! He was the best looking asparagus in the play! I think he may have been the only one, but you get the idea.
The play was really cute! We have a great music teacher at our school who does a great job getting the kids to sing.
The kids enjoyed playing on the set after the play ended.

Mother's Day
Today was a good day! We went to church, and I have to say I wasn't super excited to hear some one's rave reviews on their mother. I always feel inadequate after those type of talks. But pleasantly, the talks were focused on strengthening the family. And after all was said and done, I felt uplifted and reassured that I'm at least heading in the right direction. I may not be able to sew my son an amazing costume for his school play, and I may not be able to get patches sown onto cub scout shirts and brownie vests.
But, we do have Family Home Evening every week although it may be 30-45 minutes depending on how long the attention span for the lesson and activity are. We do try to hold regular scripture study together, and we have family prayer at least once (and most days twice if kids are awake when dad leaves for work).
When it comes down to what is most important, I know my kids know that I love them and that I love the Savior. If that is the main thing they remember about their mother, I will have been a success!

Legoland (Carlsbad, California)
We went to Legoland for Spring Break in March! It was so much fun. Of course, I am now just ready to post pictures. Our kids love Legoland! We'd rather go there than Disneyland any day! And it's only a 5 1/2 hour drive from where we live. We went 2 years ago, but they added two huge sections since our last trip. We spent two days at the park and still didn't get to do everything!
Yeah! We made it!
Notice the BYU-Idaho shirts! We had several other LDS families cheer at us in the park!
Devan, Emma, and Elizabeth enjoy the boat ride!
Emma got us on every ride twice. If she was too little to ride, Ivan and I were able to switch places and the kids were able to go twice in a row! Thanks, Emma!
Posing with the Lego Family!
We happened to go days after they opened a new section of the park!
We enjoyed trying the new rides!
