I'm only 2 months late in sharing our Christmas Vacation. We headed north on a road trip to visit both Ivan's family in Idaho and my family in Utah for Christmas 2010.
We took a detour to see the Provo Tabernacle which was destroyed by fire. We got a phone call from a friend telling us about it as we were getting ready to leave. Over 24 hours later, you could still see the fire fighters working on the building. We have so many great memories in this building.
We stopped at my brother Chad's house to help celebrate Maleah's 1st birthday. My neice is so cute! We were able to see my sister Katrina who was visiting from West Virginia and her girls as well as grandma.
The kids were also finally able to meet Aunt Paula. My brother Troy married Paula 3 years ago. It took them over 2 1/2 years to get her to the United States from Brazil legally. We were so excited to get to know her on this trip.
After the party, we headed up to Idaho racing a BIG snow storm. We were so grateful to make it safely. Devan learned how to scrap snow from the car.
Spencer fell in love with the snow. He wanted to be outside more than inside. Forget the coat. He didn't think it was too cold!
Ivan enjoyed running the snow blower again. He only gets to do it when we visit Idaho, so it never gets old.
The Sunday night before Christmas, most of Ivan's family gathered at his brother's reception hall in Terreton, Idaho. It was a stormy day, so we were grateful that everyone made it there and home safely. Liz was thrilled to be reunited with her girl cousins, Chanamy, Eliza, and Megan. Here are some of my other favorite shots from the party.
Uncle Brent and Devan
2 of my favorite nephews, Jeffrey and Chase
Jennifer, Chad, and Charlie
Kaden and Tyson, another 2 favorite nephews
Derity and Emma
A tableful of cousins
Aunt Amy even made it with her broken leg!
We had a fabulous time seeing everyone again. It's hard living so far away from family. We made some great memories in Idaho.
Grandma and the girls made Grandma's special fried cookies.
Tasting the cookies was the best part!
Megan and Liz enjoyed the bonding time with Grandma and Grandpa.
We made our visit to BYU-Idaho and their bookstore before we left to return to Utah to see my family.
